How we work

You work directly with the person doing the work, no middlemen. Most projects fail because someone added what wasn't necessary, so we start with the problem and build the minimum that solves it properly.

  1. 01

    Brief first

We understand your business, content, and goals before the build begins. The build follows your brief.

  2. 02

    Build lean

Clean, well-structured code that loads fast and keeps Core Web Vitals green without a fight.

  3. 03

    Stay involved

We don't disappear after launch. Updates, questions, new features, we're here, and your request lands with the person who built the site.

No surprises. No hidden fees.

Every plan bundles managed hosting, SSL, a domain, and daily backups into one predictable monthly fee. 12-month minimum term.

What the monthly fee actually covers

The subscription keeps your site online, secure, and continuously looked after, it isn't a one-off build that gets handed over and forgotten.

Always online, always looked after

Managed UK hosting with daily off-site backups and security monitoring on every plan. SSL is installed and auto-renewed, your CMS and plugins stay patched, and uptime is watched in the background, so the site stays fast, current, and looked after. If an update ever goes wrong, restoring from a backup takes minutes rather than days, and the whole lot runs on one predictable monthly invoice with no separate logins to juggle.

Secure by default

SSL installed & auto-renewed, CMS and plugin updates handled.

One predictable invoice

Hosting, SSL, domain, and edits on a single payment.

Talk to the developer

Your request lands with the person who built the site, not a call-centre layer between you and the fix.

Pay as you scale

Add edits, posts, or features only when you need them.

No surprise renewals

Nothing hidden behind a paywall.

The whole Nano Suite, free

Every static site we build comes with a free lifetime per-domain licence for Nano CMS, Nano Cart, and Nano Call. The tools are free and open-source under MIT, and the licence (normally £29 per product) that removes the "Powered by Nano" footer is included at no charge, perpetual, tied to your domain, and yours for as long as you run the site. Nano GDPR and Nano 301 are free for everyone with no licence at all, so cookie consent and redirects are set up for you too. See the Nano Suite.

Prefer to pay once?

Fixed-price website builds, quoted up front with no monthly plan. You own the site outright; managed hosting and ongoing support are available separately whenever you want them.

Web design & development in Poole, Dorset

One studio in Poole. The same hands that build your website write the extensions, keep the hosting running, and pick up the phone.

Hand-coded CMS, ecommerce, and portfolio sites for businesses and creatives across Poole, Bournemouth, and Dorset, with hosting, SSL, and a domain on one invoice.

You choose the platform, we handle the build

We favour fast, lightweight static HTML where it fits, and a content management system when you need to manage things yourself. We recommend based on what your site actually needs to do.

When speed is the whole brief

Static HTML is the right answer when the site doesn't need a CMS at all and the brief is really about speed and simplicity. Hand-coded, nothing to update, nothing to break, and about as fast as the web gets. Every static site we build also includes a free lifetime licence for our own Nano CMS, Nano Cart, and Nano Chat tools.

Our own lightweight CMS

Nano CMS is our hand-built content system, made for sites that want easy editing without the plugin sprawl of WordPress or the weight of a big CMS. Fast, privacy-first, and maintained by us. It suits blogs, brochure sites, and small catalogues you will update yourself, with no database to back up and nothing to patch every month. More about Nano CMS.

Our own storefront engine

Nano Cart is our hand-built shop engine: a flat-file catalogue that sells fixed-price products through hosted checkout links (Stripe, PayPal, and more), with no database to maintain. It fits small shops with a settled range of products, where a full ecommerce platform would be more to run than the catalogue actually needs. More about Nano Cart.

Our default for CMS-driven projects

Joomla handles multi-language, access control, and structured content without the plugin-stack fragility that tends to accrue around WordPress. We also maintain our own suite of Joomla plugins, Retro Media Vault, that slot in where they're useful. It is our default whenever a site needs real user accounts, several editors, or content in more than one language, and we handle the setup, templating, and updates so you get the capability without the upkeep.

When the team already knows it

WordPress is the right answer when a content team is already fluent in it, or the project needs a specific WooCommerce ecosystem. We build clean, lean themes, not a tower of plugins waiting to break. Where it fits we keep the plugin count low and the theme hand-built, so the site stays quick to load and predictable to maintain, with hosting, SSL, and updates handled the same way as every other build.
